Court of Protection

The Court of Protection gives families/loved ones the authority to act on behalf of someone who has lost mental capacity, but who has not put a Power of Attorney in place (or allocates a person where nil available). Find out more on the GOV.UK website.

There are a range of services available for patients suffering with dementia in Camden, including specialist assessments, intervention services, counselling, mental health care and falls prevention.

Clinicians are encouraged to refer to the Memory Service team if patients or carers have concerns.

The Haynes Centre is a specialist dementia hub that provides different levels of support to those diagnosed with dementia.

Services provided by the Haynes include day service provision, a day opportunities hub, an information hub, a carers' support group, and Tom’s Club (monthly social group for carers and people with dementia).
