The NCL GP IT Service manages your backups within primary care for the practice shared drive folder with a secure cloud-based solution.

This service is monitored and maintained by the GP IT team, meaning there is no longer any requirement to change backup tapes daily or check that the previous night's backup was successful.

Practices were previously advised to retain their current backup tapes, should the GP IT team need to perform a historic data restoration for data backed up prior to the new backup service implementation. Unless you still want data from a past point when your back tapes were last used, this is no longer a requirement and you may securely dispose of your back up media.

For any questions or concerns, contact the GP IT Service Desk.
