Refuge's National Domestic Abuse Helpline website provides information about domestic abuse and support for those requiring access to specialist refuge accommodation.

The Metropolitan Police has published a list of its domestic abuse partner support organisations.

Practices can apply to become White Ribbon accredited. This accreditation demonstrates support towards ending violence against women and also helps improve organisational culture, safety and morale.

Enough campaign

In July 2021, the government published its Tackling Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Strategy. The Enough campaign has been created in collaboration with victims and survivors, the violence against women and girls sector, academics and victims’ services.

Non-fatal strangulation

Following the World Health Organisation’s 16 days of action to end VAWG, the NCL ICB safeguarding team have shared the Royal College of Physicians' presentation on non-fatal strangulation.

The presentation defines non-fatal strangulation and outlines the history, examination, clinical assessment and management that is needed. See Downloads to access the slides.
