The Haynes Centre
HaringeyProvided By
This page provides basic information about a service suitable for self referral. Direct patients to the service provider using the details below.
The Haynes Dementia Hub offers activities for adults with a dementia/Alzheimer's disease diagnosis. It encourages a peer-bonding environment through the use of communal areas and a variety of interactive activity sessions.
The hub is a key point of contact for adults with dementia and their families, providing relevant information and signposting to various services, and offering a variety of in-house and communal day opportunities.
The hub provides regular access to external and internal dementia care providers, such as the memory service, Tom's club, singing for the brain, and other partners. It also offers refuge and respite to carers in the Relative Support Group meetings, a safe place where carers can bond and meet with professionals for advice and guidance.
Accessing the service
- The Day Service: Provision is offered via social worker referrals for adults with moderate or severe dementia/ Alzheimer's disease. GPs referral and self-referrals are also accepted via the Haringey First Response team. Cost is subject to financial assessment.
- The Day Opportunities Hub: Open to all with a dementia/Alzheimer's disease diagnosis who can either support themselves or can bring support with them (e.g. personal assistant, family member). Access to the hub is via self-referral, a family member, social worker or GP. The service is offered on a pay-as-you-go basis.
- The Information Hub: Open to everyone in Haringey seeking a support network, information, and guidance around dementia. Signposting is available to other services across the borough.
