Safeguarding Adults: Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub

The Barnet Adult Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) comprises professionals from various organisations working collaboratively to protect adults at risk of abuse, harm, or neglect. It aims to enhance safeguarding responses through improved inter-agency communication, resulting in better outcomes for vulnerable adults.

Some of the agencies involved in MASH are listed below:

  • adult social care
  • Barnet Metropolitan Police
  • primary care trusts/GPs
  • Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health Trust
  • hospital trusts
  • Solace Women's Aid
  • Barnet care homes
  • London Ambulance
  • London Fire Brigade
  • Barnet Mencap
  • Change Grow Live (substance misuse).

RISE service for perpetrators of domestic abuse and young perpetrators

Barnet Council has commissioned RISE, an offshoot of London Probation, to provide services for perpetrators of domestic abuse. The organisation provides intensive group work and has a specialist programme for young people who are violent to parents.  

 


Eligibility Criteria

Inclusions

People aged 18 and over who:

  • have care and support needs
  • may be experiencing or at risk of abuse and neglect
  • are unable to protect themselves of abuse and neglect because of their support needs
  • have alleged abuse occurring in Barnet.
