To support practices with processes related to immunisations, the childhood immunisation pathway has been developed by the NCL Prevention & Vaccination project managers, in collaboration with public health colleagues, child safeguarding leads and practice nurses/GPs.

This guidance is to assist practices with a standardised and best practice pathway to support childhood immunisations.

The childhood immunisations pathway comprises of five, smaller, interconnected pathways:

1. the registration pathway
2. the call/recall pathway
3. the non-responders pathway
4. the DNA/child not brought in pathway 
5. decline pathway.
