NHS Staff Respect is an ongoing campaign to discourage abuse from patients to NHS staff.

To support primary care with tackling the unfortunate cases where patients have not treated staff with respect and courtesy, NCL ICB has launched a public-facing campaign specifically for general practice called Tackling Abuse: Supporting General Practice.

GP practices may still find themselves in a situation where they are faced by a violent or aggressive patient. In such cases, the patient can be immediately removed from the practice list and the Special Allocation Scheme (SAS) can continue to provide GP services in a secure environment.
