Urgent Suspected Cancer: Gynaecology

When making an urgent suspected cancer (USC) referral (previously known as two-week waits or 2WW), please ensure your patient understands that they have been referred on a suspected cancer pathway and that they should make themselves available for diagnostic tests and outpatient appointments for the next 28 days.

GP direct-access trans-vaginal ultrasound is provided at Barnet General Hospital, Chase Farm Hospital, Finchley Memorial Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC), Royal Free Hampstead, North Middlesex University Hospital and Wood Green CDC.

Gynaecology cancer services are located at Barnet General Hospital, Royal Free Hampstead, North Middlesex University Hospital, University College Hospital and Whittington Hospital.

The surgical and oncological treating centre is University College Hospital.

Complete an imaging referral for the patient at a local site offering trans-vaginal ultrasound (see related services list for details of individual services).

Complete the Pan London Urgent Suspected Gynaecological Cancer Referral Form

Include background information regarding the patients bleeding history and any HRT medication they are on with your referral.
