Ultrasound Imaging: North Middlesex University Hospital

NCL Wide

The imaging service at North Middlesex University Hospital (NMUH) offers ultrasound scans for GP direct access for non-MSK referrals only.  It is crucial that referrals follow the BMUS guidelines for non-MSK ultrasound. Failure to follow the guidelines will result in delays to the patient's pathway.

  • By appointment only: Monday to Friday, 9am-7pm

Patient results

Results are provided back to the referrer and GP. The turnaround may depend on the urgency of the request. Routine scans will be returned within 28 days. If not received enquire by email.

Patient transport

When referring a patient who needs hospital transport or who has mobility difficulties, please clearly mark this in the referral. This will help ensure that Royal Free London (RFL) has the appropriate number of staff during the patient's appointment and while they wait for their transport home.
