Emergency walk-in clinic at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases (HTD) for patients with proven or suspected tropical diseases.

Eligibility Criteria

Inclusions

Patients aged 16+ who meet any of the following:

• acutely unwell with conditions such as fever, bloody diarrhoea or rash
• travel to a tropical country in the last six months
• marine injuries sustained outside of the UK
• animal bites sustained overseas and rabies concern
• bat bites sustained in the UK and rabies concern.

Exclusions

• long-standing symptoms
• already under investigation elsewhere
• without acute symptoms/tropical travel.
