Camden Pain Service
CamdenProvided By
The Camden Pain Service comprises specialists in MSK pain management. The service can help those patients who are struggling to manage day-to-day tasks or who are finding it difficult to work as a result of their chronic MSK pain.
Eligibility Criteria
Inclusions
- aged 18 and over
- registered with a Camden GP
- a confirmed diagnosis of the below, with all investigations complete:
- mechanical pain >3 months duration. e.g. osteoarthritis
- spinal pain with chronic radicular symptoms.
- fibromyalgia.
Exclusions
- patients without a diagnosis of chronic MSK pain, >3 months duration
- patients who do not have a musculoskeletal condition e.g:
- complex regional pain syndrome
- functional neurological disorder
- pelvic pain
- vascular pain
- headaches and facial pain
- acute fractures
- patients who have completed input for pain management unless there is a significant change in their presentation
- patients with severe unmanaged mental illness, active suicide risk, or unmanaged psychological problems not related to pain.
