This service is part of the Camden MSK Integrated Community Service.

The Camden Pain Service comprises specialists in MSK pain management. The service can help those patients who are struggling to manage day-to-day tasks or who are finding it difficult to work as a result of their chronic MSK pain.

Eligibility Criteria

Inclusions

• aged 18 and over
• registered with a Camden GP
• a confirmed diagnosis of the below, with all investigations complete:
  • mechanical pain >3 months duration. e.g. osteoarthritis 
  • spinal pain with chronic radicular symptoms. 
  • fibromyalgia.

Exclusions

• patients without a diagnosis of chronic MSK pain, >3 months duration
• patients who do not have a musculoskeletal condition e.g: 
  • complex regional pain syndrome 
  • functional neurological disorder
  • pelvic pain
  • vascular pain
  • headaches and facial pain
  • acute fractures
• patients who have completed input for pain management unless there is a significant change in their presentation
• patients with severe unmanaged mental illness, active suicide risk, or unmanaged psychological problems not related to pain.
