The ICB will be transitioning to an alternate provider called London Data Service over the next year- more details will follow in due course.

HealtheIntent is a digital platform which allows healthcare professionals to provide more proactive care to residents and communities. 

The platform links together the healthcare information of North Central London patients from different providers, giving a more complete picture of the needs of individuals and groups.

HealtheIntent currently displays data from:

• EMIS
• Royal Free London
• North Middlesex University Hospital
• Whittington Acute and Community
• Enfield Community Services
• Central and North West London NHS Trust
• Moorfields
• Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health Trust
• Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital.

The NCL Digital HealtheIntent team continues to work with other NCL providers, and UCLH, Tavistock & Portman, Camden and Islington NHS Trust and CLCH data will be included in HealtheIntent in the near future.

HealtheRegistries

Registries support staff directly involved in a patient’s care to identify gaps in care during patient contacts. Registries have been designed in collaboration with NCL clinical leads to provide key information for specific patient cohorts (e.g. CYP with Asthma).

All measures in the registries are built to support evidence-based care (e.g. NICE). They use the joined-up record in the HealtheIntent platform which is refreshed every 24 hours, so information is up to date.

Six registries are currently available:

• Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) 
• Atrial Fibrillation (AF)
• Adult Diabetes
• Serious Mental Illness (SMI): Physical Health Check
• Learning Disabilities Health Checks
• Cancer Care: General Practice

New registries for chronic kidney disease, hypertension, multi-morbidity, CYP asthma, adult wellness, child wellness (immunisations) and antenatal care are currently in development.

The registries are accessible via a link within the London Care Record (LCR), formerly the Health Information Exchange (HIE), or via an independent log-on to the HealtheIntent portal. Analytics dashboards, including Quality Improvement ones for registries, are available at nlhcr.analytics.eu.healtheintent.com.

HealtheAnalytics

Analytics dashboards use the joined-up records to help identify health and care needs or inequalities for groups of patients at GP, PCN, borough, Provider and ICS level. The dashboards are designed to provide insight to support proactive care, quality improvement and in managing population health.

Staff can use these dashboards to then easily export lists of these patients to contact them about their care. They’re not designed for use in patient contacts, but for planning direct care to your population. 

The analytics dashboards currently available are:

• Consolidated elective waiting lists
• Diagnostics waiting lists
• Childhood immunisation
• Covid and flu vaccinations
• NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme (NDPP)
• Population health needs and inequalities
• Valproate prescribing
• Quality improvement
• Frailty

Dashboards supporting the LTCs LCS, Ethnicity Data Quality and working with high-frequency users are also due to be released in the coming months.
