Adult Community Speech and Language Service

Enfield

Offers specialist assessment and management of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in adults, including those of neurological origin. The service covers conditions like dysphagia, dysarthria, dyspraxia, and dysphasia, focusing on patient self-management through education, advice, and care plans within a community setting.

The emphasis is on enabling the patient/carer to self-manage whenever possible, through education, advice and provision of care plans and signposting to other relevant services.

Inclusions

  • Aged 18+ 
  • Enfield resident or registered with an Enfield GP

How to Refer

Referrals are accepted from all healthcare professionals.

Complete the Adult Services Single Point of Access Referral Form - Enfield Community Services referral form and send it to the centralised Enfield Community Services

Once the referral has been received, it will be screened by non-clinical administrators with no changes to clinical response times.
