June 2020: Covid-19 update

Family Kitchen is being run via zoom as a cook-along. Families for Life healthy lifestyle offers one-off telephone sessions.

Families for Life provides healthy lifestyle programmes and sessions to families in Islington:

  • Family Kitchen is a four-week cooking course with healthy messages. Parent and children attend sessions together.
  • Families for Life sessions cover topics such as fussy eating, fun ways to stay active, breakfast ideas.
  • Both programmes are designed to help families with children aged two to 11 to make healthy lifestyle choices to ‘feel good and live well’.

Eligibility criteria


Families with children aged two to 11 (at school or registered with a GP in Islington), who 

  • would like support to develop a healthy lifestyle
  • have children who are fussy eaters
  • have a concern about weight.
