UCLH Neurological Rehabilitation Service: Cerebral Palsy

The service offers comprehensive multidisciplinary assessment and care to adults with cerebral palsy and neuro-disability. Patient referrals are accepted over 16 years of age.

The team is composed of a consultant neurologist, neuropsychologist, clinical nurse specialist, occupational therapist, physiotherapist and speech and language therapist.

The aims of the service are:

  • help bridge the gap during transition from paediatric to adult services.
  • offer specialist multi-disciplinary reviews tailored to your needs
  • provide a key-working service as a point of contact for any concerns or queries
  • help co-ordinate your care with other community services, specialist centres and healthcare professionals.

Services provided include:

  • multi-disciplinary assessments
  • transition clinics
  • specialist therapy clinics
  • nurse-led telephone
  • video clinics.

Eligibility Criteria

Inclusions

  • over 16 years of age
  • long term management of Cerebral Palsy (acute problems should be referred to local Neurology Services).
