Gynaecology Community Service: The Gynaecology Collaborative

IslingtonHaringey

The current wait time for patients referred to the Gynaecology Collaborative (GC) in Haringey and Islington is six weeks.

Most patients are seen face-to-face in one of the community locations.

The GC's updated referral form includes links to all NCL primary care pathways. Referrals are clinically triaged within five working days; urgent referrals will be triaged within 48 hours.

The service offers A&G: please select the appropriate tick box on the form. The GC also provides an advanced menopause clinic which is supported by a consultant-led MDT.

Shadowing opportunities are offered to clinicians, as well as tailored educational sessions for GP practices and PCNs in Haringey and Islington.

You may refer into the service, operated by Islington GP Federations in partnership with Whittington Health, North Middlesex and UCLH Trusts, whether your intended target is a primary or secondary care provider. Referrals can only be accepted when sent through eRS.

Each referral will go through administrative and clinical triage prior to appointment booking. Patients will be referred on to secondary care where necessary or have their treatment managed by the service. For more information, see the service FAQ document in the Downloads section .

See the Pathways section for the GC clinical pathways.

The service will run a variety of sessions across the week, from at least three different clinic locations. At each location, there will a GPwSI, directly employed by the service, supported by a gynaecology consultant.

See below for service locations.

The service will be administered from IGPF’s offices in Hornsey Street, Islington. The clinical lead for the service is Dr Karin Schachinger.
