Gynaecology Community Service

Enfield

The Community Gynaecology Service provides consultant-led care for routine and urgent gynaecology needs, focusing on improving clinical outcomes and patient experiences while minimizing interventions and follow-ups.

The service accepts routine and urgent (non-2 week wait) gynaecology referrals for patients aged 16+ registered with an Enfield GP. Referrals are triaged and suitable patients contacted to book an appointment


Eligibility Criteria

Inclusions

The service manages the following conditions:

  • abnormal bleeding/menstrual disorders – heavy menstrual bleeding, irregular bleeding, amenorrhoea, post-menopausal bleeding (under 55)
  • pelvic Pain
  • fibroids
  • urogynaecology/uterovaginal prolapse
  • infertility
  • vulval conditions
  • difficult coil fits/removals
  • menopause/premature ovarian failure
  • polycystic ovarian syndrome
  • vaginal discharge
  • female sterilisation
