The Barnet Children’s Integrated Therapies (CIT) Service offers both integrated and single therapies dependent upon need and will provide specialist assessment, treatment and management for those children that meet the criteria for the Service.
Includes:
- Speech and Language Therapy
- Dysphagia
- Physiotherapy
- Occupational Therapy
Barnet CIT offers universal services in the form of bookable telephone drop-in sessions, face to face drop-in sessions and groups for under fives in children's centres, as well as online training for parents and schools. Telephone drop-in sessions are bookable via email or phone:

Face-to face-drop-in sessions in children's centres offer communication advice and pre-referral assessment if needed for under five year olds, please contact your local children's centre for further information.

Barnet CIT also provides targeted services offering early intervention and blocks of therapeutic intervention and specialist services requiring trans-disciplinary interventions and Specialist services such as dysphagia.
The team works with children and parents/carers in schools, children’s centres, clinics and their homes to assess need and deliver therapy.
The CIT team works with colleagues across health, education and social care to deliver an integrated service for children and young people. The team will share information only to support the care outcomes for the child or young person.
Eligibility Criteria
Inclusions
- 0-18 years
- up to 19 years if in special school
- 19-25 years with an EHCP and therapy provision included
- supported with access to further education, higher education, social participation and equipment needs.
- dysphagia referrals must have a Barnet GP.
