Cardiology Diagnostics: WH
NCL WideProvided By
The Whittington Hospital (WH) provides the following tests that must be booked via e-Referral Service:
- echocardiogram (Echo)
- ambulatory 24-hour ECG Holter monitoring (24h Holter)
- ambulatory 24-hour blood pressure monitoring (ABPM)
- electrocardiogram (ECG)
- exercise tolerance tests (ETT) – only for DVLA
- seven-day event recorders (7-Day Monitor).
Please note: The ECG walk-in service is no longer available.
ECGs need to be booked via e-RS. Patients will need to bring in their ECG referral on the day of their appointment. For urgent ECGs contact the admin team:

How to Refer

Referral methods: e-RS
Complete the required referral form and refer via e-RS:
- Cardiology Investigations (Excluding Routine ECGs) Request Form – NCL for Echos, 24h Holters and ABPMs
- Request for Cardiac Investigation – Whittington for ECGs
- GP Request for Cardiac Investigation – Whittington for Exercise Tolerance tests and 7-day event recorders
