Cardiology Diagnostics: RFL
NCL WideProvided By
RFL cardiology service provides diagnostic tests including 24-hour blood pressure monitoring, five-day loop (Event Recorder), 24-hour and 12-lead ECGs, and echocardiograms, with specific paediatric services available at Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals.
Eligibility Criteria
Inclusions
- Royal Free Site: 18yrs and above
- Barnet and Chase Farm Sites: 18yrs and above. Children under 18yrs can be referred for 12-lead ECG and 24hr tapes
How to Refer
All RFL sites (Royal Free Hospital, Barnet Hospital, Chase Farm Hospital and Edgware Community Hospital) are open for direct-access cardiac diagnostic tests via e-RS. The trust will not accept referrals via email or Advice & Guidance.

To directly book the patient into an appointment:
- Select the test from the drop down list that you require
- Attach the correct completed referral form (see above)
Test results are emailed back to the GP. To avoid delay, provide an email address.
