The North Middlesex University Hospital (NMUH) cardiology department has an on-site cardiac diagnostic team providing a range of outpatient services, including:
- echocardiogram (ECHO)
- electrocardiogram (ECG)
- ambulatory ECG (24 to 72-hour)
- ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM)
- exercise ECG treadmill test.
Please note that GPs cannot refer for the following tests:
- dobutamine stress ECHO (DSE)
- transoesophageal ECHO (TOE)
- pacemaker service
- loop recorder analysis
- tilt table test.
Appropriate referrals forms should be sent to the department for each investigation required. If patients do not attend their appointment, they will be discharged back to the GP for re-referral.
