Wheelchair Service: CNWL
CamdenIslingtonProvided By
The Camden & Islington Wheelchair Service supplies wheelchairs, seating and accessories for children and adults.
Mobility and postural assessments are completed and, where necessary, the service is able to design and provide customised seating and wheelchair modifications for users with very complex physical and psychosocial needs.
Drop-in clinics on a Wednesday are available.
Eligibility Criteria
Inclusions
- patients of all ages registered with a GP in Camden or Islington
- patients with a long-term disability that limits mobility.
Exclusions
- patients who require a wheelchair for less than six months
- patients undergoing rehabilitation or who are not medically stable
- patients requiring outdoor-only powered mobility
- patients living in a nursing home/residential home who need a wheelchair for transit only.
