Breastfeeding Peer Support Service
HaringeyProvided By
The Breastfeeding Peer Support Service offers free, non-judgemental, evidence-based support for breastfeeding, expressing, bottle feeding, weaning, and introducing solids to families in Haringey. Support is available in hospitals and the community, working alongside midwives and health visitors.
Eligibility Criteria
Inclusions
- resident of Haringey
- babies and breastfed children of all ages.
- home visits will be considered for families unable to attend a drop in location. These are limited in their availability.
How to Refer
Referrals welcomed from all health professionals
All staff members have NHS emails and are able to communicate confidentially after initial contact has been made.
Referrals with limited client information should be emailed in the first instance to the team.
Self-referral
Haringey residents may self-refer by emailing the team for support.
No previous assessment required by a health professional.
Residents may also register for a face-to-face session via the Eventbrite link at the bottom of this page.
Spanish-speaking families may also request support via emailing the team for support.
