Asthma: RFL
NCL WideProvided By
The asthma clinic at the Royal Free manage all aspects of adult asthma, including provision of biologic medications as part of the regional severe asthma service. Typical reasons for referral include failure to achieve asthma control despite escalation of standard asthma management and diagnostic uncertainty after initial testing.
Simple breathing tests and spirometry are usually conducted by primary care and practice nurses. Referrals for direct access lung function at the Clinical Diagnostic Hub should be made directly through eReferral service (eRS), not via this route.
