Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service

Islington

An NCL Pathway for Mental Health Crisis in Young People is in use for young people presenting in Mental Health Crisis (with or without physical health needs) across Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey and Islington, including the acute trusts within NCL. This will replace existing crisis arrangements and should be used until further notice.

Two crisis hubs have been set up, at the Northern Health Centre and Holly Oak, Edgware Community Hospital. Young people presenting at hospital emergency departments, who don’t require additional urgent medical attention, will be diverted to these hubs.

Children and young people living in NCL and aged up to 18, or anyone caring for them, can access the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) crisis line 24/7 for urgent mental health support or advice.
