Covid-19 service update

At present, most sessions are being offered by telephone or video call. The service is also seeing some clients face-to-face if they’re unable to work remotely. 

Three Session Rapid Response Intervention: Clients who have had a traumatic and sudden bereavement may be able to access our Three Session Intervention, where they will be able to speak to a counsellor quickly for three sessions of rapid-intervention support and grounding.

Service description

This service offers:

  • individual and a group bereavement and loss counselling
  • pre-bereavement counselling for those with a terminally-ill significant other

CCIWBS is part of the Camden Psychological Therapies Partnership (CPTP), along with Age UKiCopeNafsiyat and Women+Health.

Eligibility criteria


  • patients registered with a Camden or Islington GP are able to access the service for free (all other clients are asked to contribute to their sessions on a sliding scale)

Clinician referrals


All referrals from clinicians should now be sent via the electronic referral system; accessed on the CCIWBS website. 


To self-refer, access the electronic referral system on the CCIWBS website. Complete a self-referral form and submit the form for processing.

If you are unable to access the electronic referral system above, please contact the service by telephone; Monday to Friday, 9.30 am to 5 pm. Outside of these hours, leave a voicemail message, and the service will aim to contact you the next working-day.
