In the last two months, North London Hospice has faced an unprecedented surge in referrals for its community service (in Barnet, Haringey and Enfield). While it remains open to referrals, urgent referrals are being prioritised to ensure people at home who are in the last days of life are seen as soon as possible. 

For a short time, waiting times will extend for less urgent referrals. NCL ICB is asking practices to bear with the service while it manages this referral increase. 

At the same time, there are other services that provide end-of-life care for residents with less complex needs: 

• district nurses 
• care home in-reach services (in Barnet and Enfield).
