Speech & Language Therapy Mental Health Team
CamdenIslingtonProvided By
The Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) Mental Health team provides a service to both in-patients and community clients of North London Foundation Trust (NLFT) who have communication or swallowing difficulties (dysphagia). The service can only offer individual work to people who are patients of NLFT and live in either Camden or Islington.
The team works directly with clients and may also work with families or carers to support more effective communication and safer eating and drinking. Clients can be seen at the Health Centre, in community locations, on inpatient wards, at home or via video appointments.
Group work is offered to autistic adults who may or may not be NLFT patients if they have a formal diagnosis of an autism spectrum condition. They also need to live in Camden or Islington.
The service also offers relevant training for staff, either in person or online via Teams.
