The rapid access early inflammatory arthritis service at RFL offers ultrasound imaging of hands and wrists for suspected early inflammatory or rheumatoid arthritis, rheumatology clinical nurse support, education, and DMARD blood-monitoring clinic follow-ups.

Please note: When referring to Barnet Early Inflammatory Arthritis (EIA). The service aims to see all new EIA patients within three weeks. Please consider using the advice and guidance system for any EIA queries you are not sure about. 

Referrals will be triaged by a consultant. Not all referrals are offered an appointment automatically. This service is not for transfers of care or second opinions. If there is a patient with obvious florid new seropositive rheumatoid arthritis who needs seeing as soon as possible please also contact the Barnet team via the enquiries email above.
