Paediatric Rapid Access Clinic: WH

The Paediatric Rapid Access Clinic at WH offers consultant-led urgent referral appointments for children within a few working days. For same-day assessments, contact the paediatric specialist registrar via the main hospital switchboard at 020 7272 3070 (bleep 3111), or for advice, reach a paediatric consultant on the GP hotline at 07796 940 840 from 9am to 9pm.
Eligibility Criteria
Inclusions
Children aged up to 16 years:
- with a new onset acute problem.
Exclusions
Children with a:
- chronic condition (refer to standard outpatient clinic service)
- problem relating to an already diagnosed condition
- medical emergency (bleep the on-call paediatric SpR on bleep 3111 to arrange an urgent review).

Referral methods: Email
Complete the Paediatric Rapid Access Clinic (PRAC) Referral - Whittington form and email to: whh-tr.childrensambulatorycare@nhs.net
The referral will be graded by a consultant paediatrician and an appointment booked. The parents will be contacted by telephone and informed of the appointment time.
