Haringey Urgent Response and Recovery Team (HURRT)

Haringey Urgent Response and Recovery Team (HURRT) is a flexible, holistic client centred home based community multidisciplinary service that is tailored to meet the diverse needs of Haringey adult population through increasing people's independence and improving the quality of their lives. The service is for adults aged 18 and over. The service aims to respond quickly to referrals to avoid hospital admission and facilitate discharges.
Services provided by
- Nurse led clinical assessment and intervention to support early hospital discharge and prevent hospital admissions/readmission.
- Physiotherapy
- Occupational therapy
- Speech and Language Therapy
- Falls pick up and advise service
Response times
- Rapid Response: 2hrs
- Therapy: 2 Days (48hrs)
Opening times
- Rapid Response and Virtual ward 8am-10pm, 7 days a week
- Therapies Daily (Including weekends) 9am-5 pm (Break time: 1-1.30pm)

How to Refer
Rapid Response /Virtual Ward (RRVW)
Referrals into Rapid Response /Virtual Ward (RRVW) service is via telephone only

Referral methods: Email
Referrals for Therapy is via email using the Haringey Adult Community Services Referral Form – Whittington. Send to haringey.adult-referrals@nhs.net
Please note that referrals for equipment only should be directed to the London Borough of Haringey.
The service is not for patients who can access outpatient services.
