Gender Identity Clinic for Adults: Tavistock & Portman

The Gender Identity Clinic accepts referrals from all over the UK for adults with issues related to gender.
The multidisciplinary administrative and clinical team includes psychologists, psychiatrists, endocrinologists, speech and language therapists, and nurses. Staff work together to provide holistic gender care, focusing on the biological/medical, psychological and social aspects of gender.
Eligibility Criteria
Inclusions
- aged over 17 years and 9 months (patients will not be offered an appointment before their 18th birthday).
Exclusions
- people with psychosexual issues in the absence of gender identity concerns
- people exclusively seeking breast augmentation, thyroid chondroplasty (tracheal shave), or cricothyroid approximation (vocal pitch) surgery (these interventions are no longer funded by NHS England Specialist Commissioning)
