CT & MRI Imaging: Wood Green CDC

CT and MRI scans are available through GP direct-access appointments. Results will be provided to the referrer within five working days or directly to the ED for urgent cases. Critical findings are highlighted to the GP via an alert system. If not received enquire by email.

Eligibility Criteria

Inclusions

  • Adult patients aged 18+
  • Ambulant or partially ambulant patients
    • the CDC can accommodate patients who can move in and out of a wheelchair independently or with minimal assistance. A hoist is available at the CDC but patients should be advised to bring their own sling if possible

Exclusions

  • Paediatrics
  • Transport patients
  • Obstetrics

For CT

  • CT colonography, interventional

For MRI

  • Patients with heart cardiac pacemakers/ICD, pacing wire or cardiac loop recorders
  • Breast, proctograms, cardiac

How to Refer

Referral methods: Email

Routine imaging requests

  • Haringey and Islington practices where ICE is installed should request scans via that system.
    Guidance on ICE is available 
  • Otherwise complete the Imaging Adult Referral Form NCL - Wood Green CDC form.

GP direct-access urgent suspected cancer imaging requests

  • Complete the Urgent Direct Access Imaging Request Form (adult & paed) Suspected Cancer – NCL form.

If imaging supports referral for urgent suspected cancer (USC), a separate USC referral form will need to be completed (see relevant USC service page for details, search 'urgent suspected cancer').
