Community Tissue Viability Service

Enfield

Specialist assessment and advice on managing non-healing wounds is available through the Community Tissue Viability Service, led by specialist nurses.


Eligibility Criteria

Inclusions

Patients may be referred to the service if:

  • they are an Enfield resident or patient with an Enfield GP
  • they have a wound that shows no signs of healing for four to six (4-6) weeks and standard care has been implemented for that condition
  • documentation of past and present care and investigations has been provided at time of referral
  • the healthcare professional and their team have reached the limit of their tissue viability knowledge
  • referrers keep the patient on their caseload while advice from the TVS is provided

TVS accepts referrals from health, social services and the voluntary sector via email or post.

Complete the Adult Services Single Point of Access Referral form - Enfield Community Services and send to the centralised ECS email rf-tr.ecsadultsinglepointofaccess@nhs.net or post.

Once the referral has been received, it will be screened by non-clinical administrators with no changes to clinical response times.
