Audiology & Ear Wax Removal Community Service
Barnet
Under Review — this page was due to be reviewed
by Sunday, 12 January 2025. The information shown here may be outdated.
Audiological Science Ltd. provides community audiology services. Services offered include hearing assessments, hearing aid fittings and ear wax removal (microsuction). The service is available in five centres throughout the Borough of Barnet (see branches below). A domiciliary service is also available for housebound patients.
Patients requiring ear wax removal need to have taken olive oil ear drops/spray for at least two weeks before their appointment and should continue to take drops until the day of their appointment.
Patients who had a hearing aid fitted between October 2016 and February 2019 via a previous provider will have received a letter advising them that their aftercare has been automatically transferred to this new provider.
The current waiting time is up to four weeks once a referral has been received, with most patients being seen within two-three weeks from receipt of referral.
Appointments are available across all centres every weekday (except bank holidays) from 9-5pm, and every Saturday and Sunday from 9-5pm at the Hoop Lane branch in Golders Green.
There is parking available at all sites with disabled access. Some sites are pay and display and others have free on-street parking. Please email for further details or to advise of any special requirements:
