Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Service for Adults: BEH

The BEH Adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Service is a tertiary provision for people over 18 years of age. It is a non-emergency service which serves the Barnet, Enfield and Haringey catchment area and is limited in its function. It provides only specialist diagnostic assessment and medical management of ADHD in adults.

Clinic Days: Tuesdays and Wednesdays


Eligibility Criteria

Inclusions

  • age 18+
  • those who show evidence of traits of ADHD with suspected ADHD
  • transfers from CAMHS
  • those with a prior ADHD diagnosis, with supporting evidence of assessment and treatment

Exclusions

If there is:

  • major mental illness
  • significant risk
  • substance misuse and addiction without engagement with substance abuse services
  • requirement for care coordination or transfer under CPA
  • need for urgent review
  • severe learning disabilities. We will offer the learning disability service consultation regarding medical management of ADHD

Please refer to the appropriate mental health, crisis resolution or substance misuse team prior to referral to the ADHD clinic as the clinic is not resourced for this.
