The Camden & Islington (C&I) Adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Clinic provides specialist assessment, medical and psychological interventions for adults who are referred with possible ADHD presentations.
Eligibility Criteria
Inclusions
Camden and Islington residents aged 18+ who meet one of the following criteria:
- have a documented history of ADHD (e.g. through CAMHS or other services)
- have completed an initial screening questionnaire
- present with symptoms that reasonably warrant an assessment for ADHD.
Please note: At the present time (June 2022), everyone referred to the service will have to be seen for a new assessment.
This is the case even if they have been:
- diagnosed with ADHD as a child/adolescent (this is because around 50 per cent of children or adolescents diagnosed with ADHD will not meet ADHD diagnostic criteria as adults)
- diagnosed with ADHD as an adult through another service (this is because the quality of ADHD assessments vary significantly between services and the C&I team would like to ensure that patients receive a high quality of care).
