The insulin passport is a patient-held record that documents an individual’s current insulin products (including biosimilar insulins) and enables a safety check each time insulin is prescribed, dispensed, and administered. This safety check entails healthcare professionals cross-referencing available information to confirm the correct identity of insulin products.
