Office 365 licences for locums

NCL Wide
Under Review — this page was due to be reviewed by Friday, 12 January 2024. The information shown here may be outdated.

Office 365 licences for surgery staff are currently associated with NCLD accounts. This does not cover Locums.

Once a locum registers with NHS Mail Support, an O365 licence will be associated with their nhs.net email account. This will allow them to use O365 on any of the sites they are booked to work from by just logging into O365 with their nhs.net email credentials.

For Locums, prior to arrival at your sites, please do the following:

  • Locums (with or without an agency): advise to initially review: GP Locums - NHS Mail Support

Following this, contact NHS Mail Support using either: 0333 200 1133 or helpdesk@nhs.net

Please provide them with the following details:

  • GMC number
  • UK-registered mobile number

An O365 licence will be associated with the nhs.net email account.

If the locum is part of an agency, it will be the agency that contacts NHS Mail Support in advance to obtain this licence.

Otherwise, it is the locum that contacts NHS Mail Support directly (and in advance of a site bookings).
