Walk-in X-rays (excluding orthopantomograms) are available for GP direct access.

  • Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am-6.30pm, Saturday 9am-4.30pm

GPDA Chest X-ray Direct to CT Pathway

Launched 5 February 2024, this pilot allows patients with abnormal chest X-ray findings to receive a same-day CT scan. This reduces diagnostic delays for primary lung cancer. 


Patient results

X-ray results are provided back to the referrer within five working days. If not received enquire by email

For Straight to CT pathway, CDC radiologists are required to report CT scans within 48 hours and notify the referring physician through standard channels, such as report notifications or emails to the referring GP.

Eligibility Criteria

Inclusions

  • adult patients aged 18+
  • ambulant or partially ambulant patients
    • the CDC can accommodate patients who can move in and out of a wheelchair independently or with minimal assistance. A hoist is available at the CDC but patients should be advised to bring their own sling if possible

       

Exclusions

  • paediatrics
  • transport patients
  • obstetrics

How to Refer

EMIS form

Referral methods: Hand to Patient

Complete the Imaging Adult Referral Form NCL- Wood Geen CDC and hand to patient. They can then walk in for their appointment but must bring the referral form with them.

Haringey and Islington practices where SunQuest ICE is installed should request X-rays via that system.
