Walk-in X-rays are available for GP direct access.
- Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-4.30pm, except bank holidays
Patient results
Results are provided back to the referrer within 28 days. If not received enquire by email

Patient transport
When referring a patient who needs hospital transport or who has mobility difficulties, please clearly mark this in the referral. This will help ensure that Royal Free London (RFL) has the appropriate number of staff during the patient's appointment and while they wait for their transport home.
Healthcare professional enquiries
Imaging services provided by RFL are located across a number of trust sites including Royal Free Hospital (Hampstead).
There is a central point of contact for HCP enquiries about imaging.

- The service accepts patients of all ages, mobility and health conditions
How to Refer
EMIS form
Referral methods: Hand to Patient
- If T-quest is available at your surgery, please use this method to refer.
- Otherwise, for routine requests, complete the Radiology Request – RFH form and hand to patient.
- For all GP Direct Access urgent suspected cancer imaging requests, complete the Urgent Direct Access Imaging Request Form (adult & paed) Suspected Cancer – NCL form and email to rf.radiologyenquiries@nhs.net
If imaging supports referral for USC, a separate USC referral form will need to be completed (see relevant USC service page for details).
