Camden Routes off the Street (Camden RTS) provides a street-based outreach service targeting those who engage in ‘street activity’ e.g. rough sleeping, street drinking, begging, sex working and street-based drug use, in order to stop the activity from continuing.

RTS supports people by:

  • conducting multiple outreach shifts including weekends
  • moving rough sleepers into accommodation
  • returning home in a planned and supported way
  • supporting drug and alcohol users to access treatment
  • supporting people with physical (including podiatry) and mental health problems to access medical help
  • stopping anti-social behaviour on streets
  • supporting people to exit street-based prostitution
  • working with hostels and housing units to support their clients to maintain accommodation and avoid eviction.

The Hub

The service also operates a building-based service (The Hub) located in Camden Town where people can access a variety of support services provided by CGL and partnership agencies. The Hub is open weekdays between 10am-4pm (Tuesdays 10am-12pm is for women only and Wednesdays 1-4pm is an afternoon specialising in assisting Romanian service users).

Camden Street Safe App

There is also the Camden Street Safe App where members of the public can report rough sleepers, street drinking, street-based sex working, street-based drug use / dealing and begging directly to the team.
