Paediatric services at Royal Free London (RFL).


The Royal Free hospital paediatric gastroenterology team have transferred services to Great Ormond Street hospital as of 2025.

Tertiary gastroenterology services are no longer provided at this site. Refer to your local paediatric service. 


The RFL maxillofacial team has produced a GP information leaflet on tongue-ties to help reduce inappropriate referrals to secondary care. See Downloads for the full document.


How to Refer

Urgent referrals to RFH

For very urgent assessment of an acutely ill child at the Royal Free Hospital (RFH), either on the same day or the following day, contact the consultant paediatrician using the number above (bleep 1000).

Once confirmed, email the referral to rf-tr.paedsurc@nhs.net

Please note: If you have not discussed the referral with the consultant paediatrician and an appointment has not been confirmed, your referral will not be accepted.
