Mobility & Seating Solutions

The Mobility and Seating Solution Centre (MSSC) provides a comprehensive service for adults and children with permanent/long-term mobility problems. The service seeks to provide assessment, consultation and advice, provision, and maintenance of wheelchairs. The MSSC also provides specialist seating which involves custom made bespoke seating systems that helps address/accommodate postural and seating concerns.
Eligibility Criteria
Inclusions
- Patients registered with a Haringey GP.
- Please see the service criteria document in downloads for full inclusions.
Exclusions
- Not for short-term mobility problems, for example, fracture, sprains or strains.
- Not for mobility aids, for example walking stick, frames.
- Not for static seating, for example, armchair.
- Do not provide scooters.

Referral methods: Email
Complete the Haringey Adult Community Services Referral Form - Whittington (for both adults and children) and send to the Central Booking Service: haringey.adult-referrals@nhs.net (open 9am-4pm, Monday to Friday).

Self-referral
Clients can self-refer if they are already known to the Mobility and Seating Solution Service. A self-referral form must be completed by the client or relative (not a healthcare professional).
