The service provides support for children under five and their families, including maternity services, baby groups, breastfeeding support, baby self-weighing, stay and play sessions, childminding groups, and adult learning. Additionally, it offers benefit and employment support, school application assistance, early years education eligibility checks, parenting programmes, health promotions, Healthy Start vitamins, food bank vouchers, child health checks, and access to specialist support including, advice, and guidance and therapies

In line with the governments giving every child the best start in life strategy, Barnet will be introducing Best Start in Life Hubs, April 2026. The new hubs will be building on the successes of the children's centre's. They will continue to offer a range of services under one roof to support children and their families in the early years.
