A team of local consultant gynaecologists is working with GPs with a special interest in gynaecology to provide this service. All referrals are triaged and patients are contacted to book their appointment as appropriate. 

The service manages the following conditions:

• abnormal bleeding/menstrual disorders: heavy menstrual bleeding, irregular bleeding, post-coital bleeding, amenorrhoea, postmenopausal bleeding
• difficult coil fits/removals
• female sterilisation
• fibroids
• infertility/recurrent miscarriage
• menopause
• pelvic pain
• polycystic ovary syndrome
• premature ovarian failure
• urogynaecology/prolapse
• vaginal discharge
• vulval conditions

Eligibility Criteria

Inclusions

• Aged 16+ 
• Registered with Barnet GP 

Exclusions

• Urgent suspected cancer referrals (see the Urgent Suspected Cancer: Gynaecology page)
