UCLH offers an adult female genital mutilation (FGM) clinic for women who have undergone and are experiencing problems as a result of genital mutilation.

The service offers:

  • consultation and reversal procedure clinic
  • assessment for pregnant women beforehand childbirth
  • advocacy, counselling, psychology.

Clinic day: Monday 9am-5pm

Deinfibulation clinic: first Monday of the month, 2-5pm


Eligibility criteria

Inclusions

  • women who have undergone, and are experiencing problems as a result of, gential mutilation

How to refer

The following clinicians can refer to this service: GPs, Healthcare professionals

Self-referral

Women can self-refer to the Zahra Midwife Clinic. The midwife clinic will then determine whether you need referral onwards to another service.
