NCL Wide

The NCL Maternity website provides up-to-date information, especially for first-time parents.

Women in NCL can self-refer to antenatal services at:

  • North Middlesex University Hospital
  • Royal Free Hospital and Barnet Hospital
  • University College London Hospital
  • Whittington Hospital

Perinatal mental health

SPMHS: Specialist Perinatal Mental Health services, offered throughout NCL to support women who are planning, current are or post pregnancy.

Islington also offers a Parent and Baby Psychology Service. A team of clinical psychologists offer brief psychological interventions for parents expecting a baby and parents with a baby in the first year who are finding the transition to parenthood challenging. The service provides a safe place for parents or expectant parents to share in confidence their thoughts and feelings about becoming a parent.
