Additional information is available on the Birth Choice UK and NHS Choices websites.

Perinatal mental health

SPMHS: Specialist Perinatal Mental Health services, offered throughout NCL to support women who are planning, current are or post pregnancy.

Islington also offers a Parent and Baby Psychology Service. A team of clinical psychologists offer brief psychological interventions for parents expecting a baby and parents with a baby in the first year who are finding the transition to parenthood challenging. The service provides a safe place for parents or expectant parents to share in confidence their thoughts and feelings about becoming a parent.
