Single point of access introduced for adult community mental health teams

CamdenEnfieldIslington

GPs can now refer directly to the Adult Community Single Point of Access (SPA) route for mental health teams using a new EMIS form. This is part of an approach to streamline access to services, reduce delays, improve outcomes for service users and enable GPs to make non-urgent direct referrals to adult community mental health services.

The form features enhanced functionality to automatically pull data from mental health history, consultations, and physical health checks, and will be rolled out and standardised across NCL.

Access the new EMIS form here:

  • NCL Global Documents folder > Mental Health folder > Single Point of Access to Adult Mental Health Service – NLFT

From Monday 2 March for Islington, GPs should use the EMIS single referral form to make non-urgent direct referrals into adult community mental health services. The form has already been rolled out for Camden and Enfield. Please note, it's very important to send the single referral form to the email within the form for each borough. See the dedicated borough service pages below for full referral details.

Any queries about the form can be sent to the NCL IT & Systems Team.
