NHS England and NCL ICB to consider future of maternity and neonatal services in NCL

NCL Wide

Board members of NHS England (Specialised Commissioning) (NHSE SC) and NCL ICB will meet on Tuesday 25 March to consider recommendations for the future of maternity and neonatal services within north central London.

This decision follows a thorough and robust review of maternity, neonatal, and children’s services known as the Start Well Programme, led by NCL ICB on behalf of NCL ICS and NHSE SC.

A detailed decision-making business case will be published in advance of the meeting and contain a range of evidence and data to inform decision-makers and support them to make a final decision. The decision-making business case will be available via the NCL ICB website at the end of the day on Tuesday 18 March.

The Start Well programme has involved several years of partnership working and significant engagement with patients, staff and partners to review and improve the quality and outcomes of services. Its collective ambition as a health and care system is to give babies and children the best start in life and improve outcomes for pregnant women and people.
